Most lenders won’t fund one. We will.
Ask a mainstream leasing company to fund a Japanese import and the answer is usually no — they struggle to value a car with no Irish trade book history, so they price the uncertainty into your monthly payment or decline outright. We can fund it because we bought it at auction, shipped it and registered it ourselves. That is the whole reason this page exists.
One fixed figure a month that your accountant can plan around, on a car that is not sitting on every second forecourt in the county.
For anyone who wants the car without a five-year commitment to it, or who would rather not tie up the capital in something that depreciates.
Six differences, and one we would rather you checked with your accountant
We set the residual value ourselves, because we bought the car and we will be the ones reselling it. A lender guessing at an import guesses cautiously, and that caution lands in your monthly payment.
Japanese-market cars share most components with the European model, but not all. We already handle the ones that differ, so a service does not become a three-week wait for a part from Japan.
At the end of the term you hand the keys back. No advertising, no timewasters, no haggling on your own driveway on a Saturday morning.
Lease payments are generally an allowable trading expense, though how much depends on the car’s CO₂ band and your own circumstances. Ask your accountant before you sign — we would rather you checked than took our word for it.
Length and mileage are agreed per vehicle rather than taken from a rate card. A 2019 hybrid and a 2013 estate are not the same risk over three years, and pretending otherwise means someone is overpaying.
If what you want is not in stock, we watch for it at Japanese auction and lease you that car. The same four checks apply as everything else we buy.
Starting points rather than fixed products — final terms are set against the car
Lower mileage, shorter term
Where most people land
Higher mileage, everything covered
What actually happens, and roughly how long each part takes
Pick something already in stock, or tell us what you are after and we will watch for it at Japanese auction. An import adds six to ten weeks before you are driving it.
We agree the length, the mileage and what is included. Be honest about the mileage — underestimating it costs more at the end than paying for it up front.
A credit check and the paperwork. We will tell you where you stand quickly rather than leaving you waiting on a decision.
Sign, collect, drive. The monthly figure does not change during the term.
